From: Courtney

Subject: Thank you Castlerigg!

Ullo to Becs, Caz, Carl and Father Peter. :3 And Will.

We were the April 28th - May 2nd. It's Courtney from group 3. The one with the pink hair? Hehe!

I too didn't have any belief in God whatsoever until I came to Castlerigg. Will told me something that made me see things differently. At Castlerigg, I was given the gift of stronger friendships, fantastic memories to take home and most importantly, my faith. And as my dear friend said "it is the greatest gift in the world." I've been praying for all of you~ I want to thank Will again for the rosary. I shall treasure it forever...! I also miss sitting in the chapel because I was close to God there. But now I realise... I can pray anywhere really. Maybe it was the quiet that is part of why I miss it. A great big thank you to all of you! xx

What else can I say? The whole experience was amazing, and I was so sad to go. I've been pestering my mum about coming at advent, because I really do want to come back, and hope to see you all again! She's seriously considering letting me go and I'm even saying it can be christmas present: I'm so serious. I loved the walks and the food! "Pharoah Pharoah! Ohh baby let my people go, aha aha, yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah~" Hehehe. That was so much fun!

"Jesus was a cool dude, 40 days with no food, livin' his life the way we should..." I wrote those down so I wouldn't forget them. Haha.

Pssst, I can't stop looking at the pictures. D: It truly was the best week of my entire life!! <3

Love loads, Courtney.

To Father Peter and all the team at Castlerigg

Hi, my name's Jayne and I'm the grateful mother of one Holly Brown who was with you this weekend just gone. I just wanted to thank you all for giving her such a fabulous time - she had a ball - I'm sure all the parents feel the same but I can't speak for everyone, just wish I could come too! To quote her on one phone call 'Mum we're being treated like royalty!'.

Thanks too to all the marvellous Holy Infant staff for giving of their time and patience.

From Jayne Brown, mother of Holly Brown Yr5.

From: Dannielle Doyle

hello every one at castlerigg manor...

i've only been home for 2 days and i'm missing castlerigg already, and the people there.

This was one of the best things i have ever chosen to do, my week there was amazing. I made lots of new freinds and that includes all the staff at castle rigg. Especially Becks and Carl, i spoke to them every day and i felt like i had known them for ages. I have made so many memories there that i hope i will never forget. Me and all my friends had so much fun.

I am not even catholic but i really enjoyed the fact that we could go into the chapel (which felt like our own with our little prayers on stickey notes, our painted jars, and pictures) and we could pray about whatever we wanted, and we all just let out what we felt. Even though most of us cried it brought us all closer together.

After all the different ways that we prayed, and the way i think the castle rigg retreat changed my view on Jesus, i now think that jesus cares for everyone (not only catholics). So i want to say THANK YOU to everyone at castle rigg.

Also i cant wait till december if i get to visit again.

From Dannielle Doyle, name of school (Visited Castlerigg Nanor 21-April to 25-April 2008)
