From: Kelly Mannion
its Kelly Mannion just been at castlerigg in the week before christmas 13-17
of december! Catlerigg was such a good experience and that was all because
of how you lot made it, it was fun exciting and gave us all plenty of good
oppotunities to get to know other people better, and build on some of our
releationships with people. On the way back on the coach we was all singing
to the songs that you have taught us and we all said what a fantastic trip
it was. Thank you for all that you have done for us in that week, it was a
life changing experience for many of us! we will never forget the trip and
you guys! lots of love kelly xxxxx

Dear Team and Fr. Paul,
A couple of ex-youth tutors drop by your brilliant website every so often and have a wee trip down memory lane, on this trip we noticed that Fr. Paul will be leaving at Christmas, would just like to say Padre best of luck in the future I don't think even you realise the impact you've had on people young and old alike, it's a part of Castlerigg we don't really appreciate until we've left. Good Luck Jack & Co for the future. :)

Castlerigg Manor was one of the most amazing expeiences I have ever had. The people there were amazing, the place was amazing and so was the food - testament to this I did have about 3 helpings of every meal. I can't wait to go back and see the team in June. I want to bring friends that didn't get to share it with me the first time round because it was a week not worth missing twice. I would like to say thank you to my parents for sending me there, the teachers who took us - "the almighty wright" and Miss O'Commor "you rotten devil." Most of all I would like to say a big thank you to the Castlerigg team and I pray it stays open for years to come. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! Jason Clements.

MARCH 17 2004

From: Michael Pendleton (Fr. Bernard Heartys nephew)
well after nearly well numerous years pass by castlerigg memories still come back with good times. well I'm going back to John Foulkes days! I spent 3 years on the trot helping and assisting over summers at Castlerigg... memories of being saved by John Foulkes after going in the Lake fully clothed and the nuns sending out a search party for me, shortly before I walked through the door. But most of all I remember the walks in the pouring rain, the vigils in chapel and bringing aussie white wine for Bill Duncan from Yates' wine lodge. Even last Sunday Frizzington St. Joseph's recognised memories not forgotten. Is Bill Duncan still alive?
CASTLERIGG RESPONSE: Yes, John, Bill Duncan is still alive and living in Keswick...
