Getting Here
Castlerigg Manor is just outside Keswick, approximately 17 miles west of M6 junction 40. There are regular buses to Keswick. Penrith is our nearest train station which is served by the West Coast Main Line.
The Highways Agency Website has a real-time traffic information page, which will let you know what the traffic is doing on the various routes..
From the M6 (this applies to nearly everybody)
- Exit M6 at junction 40 and head West on the A66.
- Ignore signs for 'Castlerigg Stone Circle' and 'Youth Centre.' This is NOT us!
- Approximately 16 miles from the M6 you will see a turn off for Keswick to the left. Take it.
- Take the slip road and turn left at the bottom.
- After a few hundred yards you will come to a T-Junction. Turn left (A591 Windermere).
- After approximately half a mile you will come to Manor Brow on the right and 'Castlerigg Manor Catholic Youth Training Centre' will be signposted. Turn right as directed.
- Castlerigg Manor is less that half a mile down on the right hand side. Look for the sign as the centre is not obviously apparent from the road.

From South Lakes
