The team have been at St Benedict's High School in Whitehaven. There, we ran a mission to the sixth form, and to Years 8 and 9, working with 500 young people. The theme of the mission was, 'Light of the World', to help the school in their Advent preparations. The mission explored the difference that Christ makes, illuminating the darkness in our world and in our lives, overcoming our fears and helping us with our struggles. Members of the team shared their testimonies, and performed a play and even wrote a song to help to develop the theme. During the workshop time, pupils were given the opportunity to participate in different sessions run by the Life Charity, WaterAid, consecrated sisters, and a session on the meaning of love by the school chaplain, Richard Teasdale. Team also ran prayer and meditation in the chapel, creative workshops, a Grill-the-Priest session, and a sharing session. Thanks to everyone at St Benedict's for making it such a fantastic experience!

At the end of the mission, the team explored the delights of Whitehaven and its harbour, and were treated to bowling and, much to Fr Phil's distaste, McDonalds.
