Mary, 11, Fleetwood

My name is Mary and I am 11 years old and I come from Fleetwood. I go to Mass at the weekend and say night prayers each evening with my family. I was baptized when I was a baby and was welcomed into the Catholic Church. I am lucky as I have always found myself with Faith. Each week when I was going up for a blessing I knew I was missing out though and when I was 7 my life flashed before me. I needed to receive Holy Communion as I heard the priest say, “Unless you eat my body and drink my blood you will not live in me but if you eat my body and drink my blood you have eternal life in me”. I spoke to my mum as I was really scared because I thought I could die without Holy Communion as this feeds our Faith and without this I am nothing and I will not have eternal life in Jesus. After a lot of asking and talking to Fr David (my parish priest at the time), I received the Body and Blood of Christ. I am now hoping to be Confirmed as God has confirmed his faith in me and I want to live with Him. My Faith means a lot to me and to be an example of Faith is important to me.
