Online Resources

A good place to start for helpful resources on youth ministry.  Here you can download informative publications, supported by the organisation, such as Mapping the Terrain: a summary report identifying key characteristics of young Catholics and their needs, or order the CYMFed Vision Document for youth ministry in England and Wales: Called to a Noble Adventure.

Run by the Salesians of Don Bosco in Great Britain, has a huge wealth of resources to be found through its website – everything from youth programmes, resource packs and PowerPoints to quotes, videos and music. There’s even an app for games ideas on there!

It’s always worth keeping an eye on the CAFOD website for resources relating to their current campaigns.

YCW is a movement for Catholic young people in England and Wales. YCW also runs the Impact youth group project (you’ll find more details on the Preston Impact group on our Youth Groups page.)

The YCW website has a range of books and resource packs to purchase from their shop, as well as free downloadable guidance for running a group.

Simply by registering on the Premier Youthwork website you’ll get free access to all the resources from the magazine in downloadable PDF format. It also includes ready-to-use music and movie clips — perfect for group discussion work.

Film & Media Resources

If you’re using films and media for your youth group sharing times, it might be worth exploring Wing Clips, where you can find film clips on virtually every subject by theme, category or Scripture.

You can also find discussion questions and film reviews at The Bible Society’s Reel Issues website or the Catholic News Service Movie Reviews page.
