Youth Retreats in Keswick

Come to a Castlerigg youth retreat…

You’ll find yourself right in the heart of a National Park in the Lake District, with friends old and new  — waking up every day to a host of fun activities, the chance to explore the amazing scenery and share incredible experiences you won’t forget!

Castlerigg is a special place. Set among the mountains and lakes, our building has been here for more than a 100 years, and our huge gardens and grounds are perfect for treasure hunts, camp fires and exploring.

In fact, our team love living and working here (meet the Castlerigg Team!) But most of all, it’s the young people that visit Castlerigg that make it special. Why not read about their experiences? Better still, you can be one of them!

Travel with us!

Ever wanted to combine your Christian faith with the chance to travel and see incredible sights?

We organise youth trips which involve spiritual pilgrimage and the meeting of like-minded youths from around the world, to destinations such as Lourdes, Krakow or to sites closer to home, like Cleator in Cumbria.

You’ll get to experience a trip like no other, where excitement and fun go hand in hand with compassion and learning.

Being a young Catholic today

What’s it like being a young Catholic in our modern world?

Young people share their experiences on everything from social media and university life, to hiding their faith for fear of judgement, and questioning God through difficult times.

Take a look at our resources page, full of links and ideas for further reading — or take inspiration from prayer and saints.

Volunteer with us

Could you be part of the Castlerigg Crew?

Every year, we are joined by an amazing team of volunteers — who come from all around the world — to help us make a difference in young people’s lives.
